Drawing a portrait tutorial

I'm going to draw a portrait in pencil, then ink it, and you can follow along with me as I take you through each step of the process. We'll look at basic shapes, structuring the head, using some classic measuring techniques like comparative and alignment for greater accuracy, placing the features, shadow mapping, and then building up layers of tone through ink mark making. All you need is paper, a pencil, eraser, and an ink pen. You could even use a normal biro for this.
