Terms and Conditions
1. Who We Are
This website is operated by Art Courses Birmingham (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or booking/purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. What These Terms Cover
These terms apply to all services we provide, including:
Online courses and digital content
In-person classes and workshops
1-to-1 tuition (in person and/or online)
3. Bookings, Orders and Payment
All prices are shown in GBP unless stated otherwise. Payment is required in full at the time you book or buy.
4. Online Courses and Digital Content
Online courses and digital content are provided digitally. Where access is provided immediately (or once the course has been made available to you), refunds are not usually available unless required by law or we are unable to resolve a genuine access problem.
5. In-Person Classes and Workshops
Details of each class/workshop (date, time, location, what’s included, and any requirements) are shown on the relevant booking page.
Please arrive on time. If you are late, we may not be able to extend the class time.
6. 1-to-1 Tuition
Tuition sessions take place at the date/time and in the format agreed at booking (in person or online). If you need to rearrange, please let us know as soon as possible.
7. Cancellations, Transfers and Refunds
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
7.1 If You Cancel
Online courses/digital content: once access has been provided, refunds are not usually offered (except where required by law).
In-person classes/workshops: because places are limited, we may offer a transfer to another date (subject to availability). Refunds are not guaranteed and depend on notice given and whether we can refill the place.
1-to-1 tuition: we will try to reschedule where reasonable notice is given. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be chargeable because the time has been reserved for you.
7.2 If We Cancel or Change a Date
If we cancel a class/workshop/tuition session, we will offer either:
a transfer to a suitable alternative date, or
a refund for the cancelled session.
We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other third-party costs.
8. Venues, Travel and Practical Details (In-Person)
For in-person sessions you are responsible for getting to the venue. Venue details will be provided on the booking page (and/or confirmation email). We are not liable for issues caused by venue closures or events outside our control, but we will do our best to rearrange where possible.
9. Your Conduct
We want a friendly learning environment. You must behave respectfully to the tutor and other students. We may refuse attendance or ask you to leave for disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour. In these cases, refunds are not usually provided.
10. Materials and Equipment
What’s included (materials, equipment, refreshments) varies and will be stated on the booking page. For online learning, you are responsible for your own equipment, materials, and internet connection unless stated otherwise.
11. Copyright and Use of Course Materials
All course content and materials (videos, text, downloads, handouts, images and branding) remain our property (or our licensors’ property). Purchases are for personal use only. You must not copy, share, resell, reproduce, or distribute course content without written permission.
12. Website Use
You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, or use it in any unlawful way. We may suspend access if the website is used in breach of these terms.
13. Liability
We provide educational services and do not guarantee specific results. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page and will apply from the date it is posted.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
16. Contact
If you have any questions, please contact us via the website.
